PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable utilization of an entire system just by inputting a password once by performing authentication corresponding to authentication information stored in a detachable password information storage part when activating a computer and authentication the system to be accessed by the computer. SOLUTION: A password memory 3 can be disconnected from this system if necessary. Before utilizing the system, the password memory 3 is installed in the computer and the authentication information such as a user ID and a password is stored in the password memory 3 by inputting from a keyboard 7. When activating the computer afterwards, the password inputted from the keyboard 7 is temporarily stored through an input control part 6 and a CPU 1 into a main memory 2. Character information stored in this main memory 2 is compared with password character information in the password memory 3 and judged through the CPU 1. When this compared result shows coincidence, the computer is activated. |
