PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To composite the images of a scene at the time of looking in an optional direction without a joint by obtaining information on the direction of an object expressed by the pixels of recorded images from the digitized plural recorded images of the scene which is looked at the time of facing plural eye sights. SOLUTION: At the time of looking from a common eye position, images are overlapped with each other so as to overlap pixels belonging to the same corresponding pixel set with each other at the same eye direction to composite an image covering a wide visual field as a whole. Namely, plural recorded images G1 to G3 consisting of pixels holding color data obtained by recording an object O constituting a peripheral scene at optional eye directions V1 to V3 from some fixed eye position C are first generated. At this time, the eye direction of recording is selected so as to include the part of the object desired to express as a composite image in one of the images and so as to overlap the ends of the images with each other. |
