PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a period, while valve noise is generated from a compressor when its operation is started within a short time and secure the start of the operation of the compressor. SOLUTION: The starting pattern of a compressor comprises an initial duty which determines an application voltage, when the compressor operation is started and an acceleration duty which determines a voltage rising rate thereafter. A drive has a starting pattern consisting of three patterns. After the starting pattern which was employed last time and the operation state was successful with it is initially set, the operation is started (S1 and S2). Every time a voltage maintaining timer goes into a time up state of 50 ms, an acceleration duty is added to the initial duty (S6). If the acceleration does not reach 30 Hz when a failure decision timer with a timer of 10s is up, it is decided that the start is failed (S9). If the start failure occurs three times in succession, the next starting pattern whose starting time is one step longer than the first one is employed, and operation is re-initialized (S18). If the start fails even with longest starting pattern whose starting time, the compressor operation is stopped permanently. |
