PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical receive with a waveform equalization function that is operated even at a high bit rate and to realize a waveform equalization optical reception control method. SOLUTION: An optical demultiplexer 5 demultiplexes a signal light 1 into two, the one is given to a 1st optical variable attenuator 7, and the other is given to a 2nd optical variable atteneuator 7 via an optical delay device 6, respectively. Outputs of the 1st and 2nd optical variable atteneuators 7, 8 are given to a PIN photo diode module 12 consisting of 1st, 2nd photo detectors 9, 10 and an amplifier 11. A band pass filter 18 segments a spectral component from a received signal 13, and a controller 20 controls the attenuation of the 1st and 2nd optical variable atteneuators 7, 8 to make the intensity of the segmented component constant. The respective attenuations are adjusted so that the intensity of light incident to the 1st photo detector 9 is P0+P (P0 is intensity of light without any waveform equalization) when the intensity of light incident to the 2nd photo detector 10 is P. |
