PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save wires while surely preventing mutual interference, reduce the size of a connector by reducing the number of contact points, and cut down troubles associated with contact, in the case of a rangedly-mounted type photoelectric sensor. SOLUTION: In this photoelectric sensor system, a control part 11 of a master unit 10 collectively sends communication control signals to sensor units 20, 30, 40, 50 via a communication line 12, and light-emission timing control parts 23, 33, 43, 53 of the respective sensor units output light-emission timing signals to sensors 24, 34, 44, 54, respectively, at different timing based on the communication control signals in order to cause the respective sensors to emit light, thus preventing the mutual interference of the sensors.
