PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing device which is capable of effectively utilizing the space required for a web, maintaining the feed speed of the web constant and preventing the slack of the web. SOLUTION: When the web 16 is successively taken up on a take-up roll 22, the diameter of the take-up roll 22 increases but the diameter of a delivery roll 20 decreases. At this time, the shaft parts of the respective rolls 20 and 22 are slidably held by a groove member 34 and a needle wheel 36 comes into contact with the take-up roll 22 to energize the take-up roll 22 and, therefore, the respective rolls 20 and 22 come into contact at all times. Since the needle wheel 36 drives the take-up roll 22, the take-up speed may be maintained constant. Further, the web 16 delivered on a straight line connecting the take-up roll 22 and the delivery roll 20 and the taken up web 16 come into contact with each other and, therefore, web 16 is not drawn out more than needed.
