REACTION PLATE FOR LINEAR MOTOR CAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable maintenance crew to walk on an upper surface, by installing a surface protecting layer which is not affecting the operation on the upper surface of secondary conductor. SOLUTION: A reaction plate 1 is equipped with a secondary core 2 and secondary conductor 3, which is collectively coupled with the upper side of the secondary core 2. A surface protecting layer 4 is formed with uniform thickness over the whole upper surface of the secondary conductor 3. In order to prevent influence to the operation, a material which is composed of nonmagnetic substance and has wear resistance, e.g. austenitic stainless steel is used for the surface protecting layer 4.
