PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method or the like for enhancing reliability of error detection. SOLUTION: An input data processing means 11 in a transmitter side device 1 divides data, consisting of divisions with a prescribed digit number into a plurality of groups, a sum arithmetic means 12 sums them, transmits the sum via a frame format generating means 13 and a transmission means 14 to a receiver side unit 2. A reception means 21 of the receiver side device 2 divides received transmission data into data divisions with a prescribed digit number consisting of a plurality of groups, and data arithmetic means 22 sums them. An error detection means 23 compares the sum with the sum calculated for the groups by the transmitter side device 1, and a data processing means 24 processes the data, only when the sum calculated by the arithmetic means 22 agrees with the sum calculated by the transmitter side device 1.
