METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELECTRODE FROM METAL FOAM

The invention relates to a method for producing an electrode from metal foam which is connected to a current derivation. The metal foam, nickel foam for instance, is filled with metal powder, nickel powder for instance, in the area of the current derivation that is to be fixed to the metal foam. The metal powder is suspended in a binder and is sintered with the metal foam. The current derivation is then fixed to the thus reinforced area of the metal foam. The current derivation can be arranged between two semifinished products made of nickel foam. The semifinished products can be filled with nickel powder in at least the area facing the current derivation, whereby said nickel powder is suspended in a binder. The semifinished products can be fixed by means of spot welding or spot soldering and the lightning rod can be sintered together with the semifinished products.
