Method and device for blow-moulding containers

The invention relates to a method and a device for blow-moulding containers (13) from a thermoplastic material. The container is produced from a preform (1) in a blow mould (34), using the effect of a pressurised medium. The blow mould (34) comprises at least two blow mould segments (34, 36) in addition to a base insert (37). Once the preform has been expanded into a container (13), at least one section of the blow mould (34) is removed from the blowing station with the blown container (13). This section of the blow mould (34) remains in contact with the container (13) until the contours of the container become stable. A suitable fixing device maintains the contact between the blow mould (34) and the base area of the container (13).
