SUBSTANCE: method for making small- and mean-size castings with wall thickness 5 mm-30 mm comprises steps of melting burden in melting aggregate, preliminarily modifying melt at treating it by means of master alloy containing rare earth metals, silicium and aluminium and then modifying it with the same master alloy. EFFECT: elimination of excess modification, possibility for receiving pearlite, ferrite-pearlite matrix and favorable shape of graphite at casting. 3 cl, 2 tbl
