PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an artifact caused by the aliasing of the data generated from a desired exciting space by utilizing the signals from an auxiliary FR receiving coil and a main RF receiving coil to generate the data from a desired exiting space. SOLUTION: An auxiliary receiving coil 5 is arranged in an alias area. The output of the coil 5 and the output of a main transmitting/receiving coil 4 are supplied to a processing device 6 connected to a display for displaying an image generated by a magnetic resonance image pickup device. In the alias coil 5, the influence of a desired slice and the alias area is calculated, and reduced or removed similarly to the receipt of MR signals from the alias area and the desired slice by the image pickup coil 4. Since an artifact is caused when the magnetic field intensities of two space areas are the same at the result of an improper fringe combination of inclined magnetic field with main magnetic field, the two space areas are reduced or removed.
