摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can exactly measure glucose over a wide measurable range up to high concentration, for example, urine samples of patients with serious diabetes, directly without dilution and provide a reagent suitably for this determination. SOLUTION: In this determination of glucose, glucose dehydrogenase is allowed to act on the specimen including glucose in the presence of boric acid or its salt. Simultaneously, a coenzyme of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD) or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate is allowed to act on together and to measure the increase rate of the reduced type nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or the reduced type nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. The addition of a competitive inhibitor increases the apparent Km value whereby the glucose determination becomes possible in the high- concentration area.
