PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting structure of a decorative cover material facilitating the fitting works and eliminating any possibility of falling-off of the decorative cover material in fitting works. SOLUTION: In this fitting structure of a decorative cover material fitting a gable stop 1 (decorative cover material) to a skeleton via a holder/reinforcing metal 2, the gable stop 1 is so constituted that wall-side fixing surfaces 12 are formed, at least, in the top/bottom both sides of the decorative body, which is formed by projecting to the outside of the skeleton side and opening the skeleton side, and engagement parts 13 are formed adjacent to the top/bottom opening edges in the decorative body. On the other hand, the holder/reinforcing metal 2 is so constituted that support plates 22, 23 are stretched along the inside of the decorative body from the top/bottom both sides of a skeleton fixing plate 21 and engagement-counterpart stage differences are formed mated with the engagement parts 13 of the gable stop 1, and the engagement parts 13, 13 are elastically engaged with the engagement-counterpart stage differences of the holder/reinforcing metal 2 fixed to the skeleton so as to temporarily fix the gable stop 1.
