PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a misfeeding detecting device which is capable of surely detecting the misfeeding, and easy in handling, setting and adjustment in a transfer feeder through the grasping and rotation. SOLUTION: A transfer feeder provided with a rod 12 having a holding portion 13 on its tip, a holder 11 to hold this rod 12 in a retractable manner on the holding portion side, and a holder guide to rotatably hold the holder 11, comprises a disk-like detection body 22 mounted on a connection bar 21 projecting backward from a bottom portion of the rod 12 and a proximity sensor 23 to detect the approach of this detection body 22, and the imaginary axis of the detection body 22 is agreed with the axis of rotation of the holder 11.
