PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper opening/shutting system for a transplanter which is required prevention of collapse of mud, smooth and certain transplantation by setting the load needed for elevation and opening of the hopper at minimum (only load of hopper spring) and tracks of a pulling action of the hopper is carried out as a copying effect (patting effect) to the slope of the opening hole. SOLUTION: This hopper opening/shutting mechanism for transplanter is constituted, counter-crossing connecting rods 3 by setting outside points of the top of a left and right beak 1a, 1b of the hopper 1 cooperated through a return spring 1c as the fulcrums of swing 2 pivoting 5 at the crossing point 4 and setting turning point of pressure 6 of the load W of the hopper opening/ shutting on the adjacent of the inside of fulcrums of swing 2 of the other end of the connecting rods 3, setting the height H of the left and right beak 1a, 1b nearly equal to the distance between the countering fulcrums of swing 2 and the turning point of pressure 6 connecting rods 3 and setting the turning tracks of the left and right beak 1a, 1b close to the circular tracks centering each fulcrums of swing 2 as possible.
