PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference of a hook member with a lid using a simple configuration and save a space to be occupied. SOLUTION: A vehicle lid locking device is equipped at one end with a hook part 6a capable of restraining a lid 1 in a half-open position by engagement with a striker 9 fixed to the lid 1 and at the other end with a handle 6b for disengaging operation to release the hook part 6a from the striker 9, and the hook part 6a of a hook member 6 is movable between the standby position capable of being engaged with the striker 9 and the full operating position capable of separting from the striker 9, and in this lock device for vehicle lid, the hook member 6 is furnished with a stopper member 8 whereto the striker 9 abuts when the lid 1 has moved further from the close position in the direction of door shutting and which hinders the hook member 6 from moving to the full operating position.
