<p>A dry sealing system with interior bearing and fans for prevention of water intrusion into watercraft at the driving shaft is solving the problem of meeting key criteria of effective sealing such as structural appropriateness, simple installation and maintenance as well as relatively low sensitivity to tolerance deviations. Thus the invention assures a double bearing of the propeller driving shaft by using a specially shaped housing (1) and plug (3). Two sealing elements (2) made of rubber in the shape of fans enable effective sealing also at moderate motor vibrations and deviations in propeller shaft dimensions from the nominal ones, and allow - due to their structure - moderate tolerance deviations during installation as well. There is no maintenance of the sealing system, because it does not require any addition of lubricants or other agents. The sealing system can be easily overhauled after several years of operation, as the plug (3) can be dismantled several times, the sealing elements (2) replaced and the plug installed again. The installation of the sealing system is exceptionally simple, for it is pushed on the propeller driving shaft and deaerated by means of a capillary and a groove (4).</p> |
