PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for concealing combined error of multi program for digital audio broadcasting and other applications is provided to embody a plurality of applications such as a listening and/or a recording of a simultaneous multi program and a simultaneous transmission of an audio and a data. CONSTITUTION: A combined multi program coder(10) is composed as a PAC encoder bank(12) having the N number of PAC audio coders(ENC-1...ENC-N) and a two-dimensional multi bit allocator(14). An input audio signal(16) having an audio 1 to an audio N is provided to each PAC audio coder(ENC-1...ENC-N) in the PAC encoder bank(12). The two-dimensional multi bit allocator(14) receives a transmitted bit allocation request and responds to a real bit allocation. A device(18) indicates the bit allocation request and the real allocation.
