PURPOSE:To reduce in weight without impairing heat-resisting property and mechanical strength of the title bonded magnet by a method wherein a specific quantity of triazine resin, with which a triazine ring is formed by heating a cyanate compound, is contained as an organic binder. CONSTITUTION:In the title rare earth bonded magnet which is formed by bonding rare earth alloy powder using an organic binder, triazine resin of 0.5 to 5wt.%, with which a triazine ring is formed by heating a cyanate compound, is contained as an organic binder. Also, the rare earth alloy powder is mixed with the triazine resin, with which a triazine ring is formed by heating a cyanate compound, the mixture is hardened by heating after molding, and the rare earth bonded magnet is manufactured. As a result, a light weight rare earth bonded magnet, having excellent magnetic characteristics, heat-proof property, mechanical strength and moldability, can be obtained at low cost. |
