PURPOSE:To provide a calender frame, the rigidity of which is heightened and in which gaging is easy and the development of sheet scrap can be reduced. CONSTITUTION:Bearing boxes 1, which are provided at both the journal ends of a plurality of rolls rotating parallel to one another, are engagingly and slidably supported along the inner surface of a calender frame 3. In the calender frame 3 having screw shafts 7, each of which engages with each nut provided inside the calender frame 3 and the tip of each of which is connected with each bearing box, for setting roll-nips, by detachably providing tension members 9 connecting time opposite sides of the calender frame 3 near positions between the bearing boxes ajacent to each other so as to prevent the calender frame 3 by means of the tension members 9 from deforming. |
