PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rope having excellent flexibility and high tensile strength. SOLUTION: This wire rope is constituted with a plurality of element wires 1 and produced by double-twisting through the swaging process. The average element wire diameter percentage of a plurality of element wires is <=5% and the swaging process increase the percentage up to 20-35%. The average element wire diameter percentage is represented by (d/D)×100, while wire gap percentage is given by (1-(S/A)×100 where d is the average outer diameter of the wires and D is the outer diameter before the processing such as swaging, S is the sum-up of the cross section area of individual wires and A is the area of the circumcircle of the wire rope after processing. |
