<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability of a magnetic tape running mechanism. SOLUTION: This tape running mechanism includes a tape running device 1 having a forward rotation running mode for running a tape in one direction and a reverse rotation running mode for running the same in an opposite direction. In this case, the tape running device 1 is provided with a switching operation section 24 slid to switch an operation between tape fast-forwarding and rewinding, a driving motor 12 rotated both in forward and reverse directions by running the tape, and a selective driving mechanism having a swinging mechanism having a pair of follower gears 39 and 40 selectively engaged with one of a pair of reel base gears 44 and 45 according to the rotational direction of the driving motor 12 and a rotating mechanism rotated according to the operation of the switching operation section to change the rotational direction of the reel base gear.</p> |
