PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw out a tube type furnace monitor utilizing compression air being discharged by switching the direction of supply air through a point solenoid valve and supplying the compression air to the port of an air cylinder on the draw-out side. SOLUTION: When compression air supply is interrupted, power supply to a 2 port solenoid valve 11 for switching the compression air and a 5 port solenoid valve 12 for controlling the direction of the compression air being supplied to the port of an air cylinder on the insert and draw-out side is interrupted. The 2 port solenoid valve 11 is thereby closed and the port of the 5 port solenoid valve 12 is switched to the draw-out side of the air cylinder. Consequently, residual compression air in piping 13 is supplied to the air cylinder 4 and a slide base 2 mounting a tube type furnace monitor 1 is advanced in the direction 10 and then the tube type furnace monitor 1 is drawn out from the furnace.
