PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set that can make data communication at a stable and high communication speed while making a speech. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set 1 is provided with two communication sections; a code division multiple access(CDMA) communication section communicable with a CDMA communication network 30 and a PHS communication section communicable with a PHS communication network 33. The portable telephone set 1 makes communications of a transmission voice picked up by a microphone 4 and a received voice outputted from a receiver 5 with the CDMA communication network 30 by controlling the CDMA communication section as voice data, and makes communication of data of a data terminal 24 as non-voice data with the PHS communication network 33 by controlling the PHS communication section. Since the communication processing of the voice data by the CDMA communication section and the communication processing of the non-voice data by the PHS communication section are executed without any interference with each other, the user can make data communication at a high and stable communication speed while making a speech.
