PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To trim an image which includes a necessary range so as to be arranged in desired state within a final size by calculating a variable power rate necessary for putting a necessary range within the final size, and varying the final size by the inverse number of the variable power rate according to designated contents. SOLUTION: An operator selects a range considered necessary for image displayed on an image display. At that time, an operator selects only a part which seems necessary without considering trimming. Also, the operator inputs the final size and opening setting which is an essential parameter. A data processor recognizes the position of the designated necessary range in an original image and calculates the position of the necessary range at the time of converting the resolution of the original image into the resolution of a final image. Then, the data processor calculates a variable power rate at the time of assigning the necessary range after resolution conversion to a valid range and varies the final size by using the inverse number of the variable power rate, and sets the inverse magnified final size as a trimming range. |
