PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise conveying device for automatic vending machine capable of making versatility compatible with storage efficiency at a high level, reducing the depth of the automatic vending machine, and surely and smoothly conveying merchandise to a selling port arranged at a relatively high position regardless of the size of the merchandise or the hardness/softness of the container. SOLUTION: This merchandise conveying device is provided with a selling port 18 arranged at a front door 4 of a vending machine main body 3, a shoot 7 provided so as to be inclined downward to the front part between an upper merchandise storage 5a and a lower merchandise storage 5b and having an opening 20 penetrating through in a vertical direction for guiding merchandise S ejected from the upper merchandise storage 5a downward to a selling port 18, with a conveying mechanism 13 provided in the lower merchandise storage 5b for forming a merchandise path 11 extending in the vertical directions and conveying the merchandise S stored in the merchandise path 11 through the opening 20 to the shoot 7 by conveying the merchandise S upward, and with a driving means for driving the conveying mechanism 13 in a direction where the merchandise S can be conveyed upward.
