PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator which can ventilate air in a room in the vertical directions in winter season, while preventing outer supply air from producing draft and can discharge heat standing in the vicinity of ceiling quickly in summer season. SOLUTION: A combined ventilation box 16 is internally partitioned into first and second spaces 34, 36, wherein the first space 34 is partitioned into an upper space 40, a lower space 42 and a lower end space 44 and a fan 48 is disposed in the lower end space 44. Indoor space 14 communicates with the upper space 40 through an upper opening 52 provided with an on/off valve 54 and communicates with the lower space 42 through a lower opening 56. The second space 36 communicates with the upper space 40 through an opening 60 provided with an on/off valve 62. The upper space 40 communicates with the outdoors 22 through a first air supply/exhaust passage 64 having a fan 66, the lower space 42 communicates with the outdoors 22 through a second air supply exhaust passage 68 and the second space 36 communicates with the indoor space 14 through an upper communication passage 70.
