PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sorting method in which a signal as a result of a diffusion radiation and a signal as a result of the collection of an imperfect electric charge can be discriminated immediately in the case of a semiconductor detector. SOLUTION: In this method, a detection signal from a gamma-ray detector of a type provided with a semiconductor detecting element is sorted in real time. a) In a calibration mode, intensity data and rise-time data are established, two parameter detection spectrums regarding the data are created, and two parameter permission windows F are created so as to correspond to a correlation between the intensity data and the rise-time data. b) In an inspection mode, intensity data and rise-time data are established, whether the data are within the two parameter windows F or not is judged, and, when the data are outside the windows, the data as a set are excluded, and an event is sorted in real time.
