PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for a past, similar day and to easily obtain the weather of that day as the predicted value of today even if detailed forecast cannot be obtained by judging a past similar index using a specific expression based on the closest observation value or the like regarding a current location obtained at present time and extracting the similar day. SOLUTION: A weather forecast regarding a present location or the actual values of weather for the past, several days are searched for by on-line or manual input and are used as a search key. Normally, estimation target days and seasons are to be searched for but the same month and year may also be searched for. A past, similar index is judged by an expression, and a day where with the lowest similar index is extracted as a similar day. In an expression, f(0), f(1), r(0), r(1),αandβ, and the number of extraction conditions are a prediction target day forecast temperature, a prediction target previous-day temperature, the actual temperature of the j-th day, arbitrary constants, and the number of search keys, respectively. Then, the detailed weather forecast of a similar day is set to the weather forecast estimation value of a target day.
