<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send ATM test cells at an optional speed in each traffic by stopping the sending of the test cells for fixed time after sending the burst of test cells at specific sending timing so that the sending rate of the test cells becomes an average cell rate. SOLUTION: A peak cell rate PCR (cell/s) is inputted to an ATM test cell generation device as a condition for determining the sending timing of ATM test cells 1 and cell sending time Tp for the peak cell rate is calculated by an operational expression Tp=T×106/(a×8×PCR) on the basis of traffic speed T. An integer Tpf obtained by rounding off the time Tp is determined as the cell sending time of the peak cell rate. Maximum burst length is regulated by the number of ATM test cells, and after sending the burst of ATM test cells at the sending timing of the peak cell rate, the sending of ATM test cells is stopped for fixed time.</p> |
