CATHODE ELECTRODE FOR FUSED CARBONATE FUEL CELL AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode electrode for a fused carbonate fuel cell and its manufacturing method capable of suppressing elution of the cathode electrode and enhancing electrode activity. SOLUTION: This cathode electrode is given conductivity by forming a lithium compound by oxidizing a sintered body of a nickel-aluminum alloy or a metal nickel sintered body coated with a thin film of nickel-aluminum alloy. Preferably, a weight percentage of aluminum is not less than 2% and not more than 20%, and it is assembled in a fused carbonate type fuel cell and the conductivity is given to it by oxidizing it in the cell to form lithium oxide.
