PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing machine which improves ease of use and saves the labor of testing by facilitating setting a test condition. SOLUTION: A dynamometer for controlling to drive a testing machine body preserves a condition file of test conditions in an EEPROM 5. A group of a plurality of condition files is preserved corresponding to each of a plurality of user IDs. A password corresponding to the user ID is registered. When an input password agrees with the registered password, the condition file can be read out and rewritten. A comment indicating characteristics of test conditions is attached to the condition file and stored together with the condition file. The comment together with a condition file number are displayed when the condition file is read out. A help key is set to a panel face of an operation display panel part 1. The test conditions including recommended values of preliminarily set test conditions are selectively displayed.
