PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a low temperature air of a desired temperature, without using a special refrigerant by providing an air mixer for mixing an air expanded by an expansion unit and lowered at its temperature with a high-pressure air from a compressed air source to supply a mixed air. SOLUTION: When a low-temperature air supplying apparatus 1 is operated, a compressed air source 2 sucks air and generates a compressed air of an ambient temperature and high-pressure compressed air. Compressed air, in which dust is removed by a filter 6 and a moisture is removed by a dehumidifier 7, is fed to an air conduit 8. A part of the compressed air is fed to an expansion unit 4 via an air conduit 8A and a pressure reducing unit 3, and the part of the compressed air is fed into an air mixer 5 via an air conduit 8B. The air fed into the unit 4 expands adiabatically and becomes low temperature, and fed to an air mixer 5. Then, the air is mixed with an ambient temperature and high-pressure air fed from the another conduit 8B by an air mixer 5 to a low temperature air of a prescribed temperature, and the mixed air is discharged.
