PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of the flow rate or the quantity of heat of gas during use of a gas instrument by a method wherein a flow meter is provided in a gas flow passage after regulating the amount of gas to measure an instantaneous flow rate and an accumulated flow quantity and indicate a physical amount, converted into the quantity of heat of an object gas. SOLUTION: A gas meter 1, measuring the using amount of gas in a house of a customer, is provided between an outdoor gas pipeline 2 and an indoor gas pipeline 3 while gas instruments, such as a gas range 10, a gas oven 12, a gas fan-heater 14, a gas hot-water supplier 16, a gas engine heat pump 20 and the like which are connected to the indoor gas pipeline 3, are provided with a flow meter, measuring the flow rate of gas, and indicating means 11, 13, 15, 17, 21 for indicating the measured flow rate of gas or the quantity of heat of gas, converted from the flow rate of gas. In the gas instruments under higher combustion control, such as the gas hot-water supplier 16, the gas engine heat pump 20 and the like, the history of flow rate of gas, detected by the flow meter, is stored in recording media 18, 22.
