The automatic filler for bottles has a tank with a filling spout (10) having an outlet (12). A valve (20) selectively opens to allow liquid flow under a control (30). A plug (40) independent of the valve is actuated by a piston (50) independently of the main control, to take all intermediate positions between a position where it fits into the spout between the valve when it is closed and a retracted position.
