The present invention pertains to the field of reflective coatings, including thermal protection ones, and can be used for protecting a person in conditions of high thermal and radiating (solar) activity. This invention is used for producing masks for firemen, for metallurgists or for workers visually controlling high-temperature processes, as well as for producing firemen clothes, special tents, clothes for mine clearers or reflective surfaces for power installations such as solar concentrators. This coating comprises two layers one of which consists of silver on a substrate while the other consists of a metal oxide. This invention is characterised in that the silver layer has a thickness of 20 to 250 nm while the metal oxide consists of titanium or zirconium oxide. Such a combination increases the transmission coefficient and the thermal-radiation attenuation coefficient, increases the mechanical strength and chemical resistance of the coating and allows the use thereof even on polymeric substrates.
|
