Process for the preparation of a foodstuff by extrusion

A food product is manufactured by extrusion using a double screw extruder. The product has two components. The first (A) is treated in the first part (1) of the extruder and the second (B) is treated in the second part (2). The two parts of the extruder are separated by a dynamic separator (3), keeping the two components separate. The two extruded components are shaped and cut in one or more nozzles.
