<p>The present invention relates to a method and system for creating a customized color cosmetic mass at the point of sale to a customer. The method includes selecting a final color, identifying a combination of pellets (22) to create the final color upon combination thereof, heating the combination of pellets (22) in a container (24) to a specified temperature to form a heated mixture, transferring the heated mixture from the container to a mold (30), cooling the mold until the heated mixture solidifies to form the cosmetic mass (56), and disassembling the mold to release the mass. The system includes a plurality of pellets (22) having at least two different colors, a programmable device (10) for identifying a combination of pellets (22) to provide a final color, a container (24) for receiving the combination of pellets (22), a heating unit (20) for heating the pellets (22) to form a homogeneous heated mixture, a mold (30) defining the shape of the cosmetic mass (56) for receiving the homogeneous heated mixture, and a cooling unit (40) for cooling the mold (30) until the heated mixture solidifies into the cosmetic mass (56).</p> |
