Remotely-controlled powered trolley with friction drive to tubular rails using endless V-belts operating at right angles to one rail

An electric motor (3) drives a gearbox (19) to power a pair of driving V-bands (5) set at right angles. Each band has a drive wheel and six idlers so that it exerts maximum thrust on the support rail (2). The trolley bed (15) is supported on one side by rollers (16) running on a tubular rail (2'). THe other side is supported on its rail (2) by a pair of endless V-bands (5). The angle (alpha) between each drive is 90 degrees to grip the rail (2) without interfering with its supports (22). Remote control (12,13) is provided. The drum (11) controls the extension and withdrawal of the power cable.
