Electric motor control circuit

The motor control system supplies the motor with variable supply voltage pulses for regulating the speed of the rotor. At least some of the individual pulses have a superimposed pulse pause with a zero voltage, for intermittent rotation of the rotor. Pref. an electronic control stage (5) is used to switch a triac, transistor, or IGBT power switch (4), for application of the voltage pulses to the electric motor (1), with blocking of the power switch during at least some of the individual pulses.
