PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitative determining ammonia, a substance to be directly or indirectly converted into ammonia, or an enzyme, and to obtain a reagent usable for the method. SOLUTION: A glutamine synthase, a purine nucleoside phosphorylase and a xanthine oxidase are reacted with a sample containing ammonia in the presence of glutamic acid, adenosine triphosphate and inosine to convert the ammonia into hydrogen peroxide, and the generated hydrogen peroxide is quantitative determined.
