PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent infiltration of mortar from a hole by constituting an embedded nut protective cover of a rubber cylindrical cap having an internal bore into which the upper portion of the embedded nut can be fitted and a ceiling plate at its upper edge, the ceiling plate having a predetermined hole formed therein, and a filler filling the upper portion in the cylindrical cap. SOLUTION: A protective cover 1 is made up of a rubber cylindrical cap 2, and a filler formed of a resin foam filling the cap 2. The cap 2 has an internal bore into which the upper portion of an embedded nut 4 can be fitted, and can be fitted on the upper portion of the nut 4. Therefore, when a cage is molded in a molding die, even if a reinforcing bar collides with the cap 2, the cap 2 does not slip out or is not displaced, to thereby form no gap between an opening of the nut 4 and the cover 1, into which mortar can be infiltrated. Then, a ceiling plate 6 is arranged at the top edge of the cap 2, and a hole 8 in the ceiling plate 6, into which a bolt of is inserted, is closed from inside by the filler 3 filling the cap 2, whereby infiltration of mortar from the hole 8 can be prevented.
