PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid secondary trouble due to a succeeding paper when paper jam occurs in the vicinity of a paper discharge part by providing an opening part capable of passing a paper therethrough on the lower part of an image recording device, and connecting the terminal end of a drawing-in passage to the opening part. SOLUTION: An opening part 20 having the size allowing paper to pass through is provided on the body lower part of a laser printer. Further, the terminal end of the drawing-in passage 11 provided branchedly from a paper feed passage 10 on the lower stream side of the paper carrying direction is connected to the opening part 20. In this way, by connecting the terminal end of the drawing-in passage 11 to the opening part 20 provided on the body lower body of the laser printer, when paper-jam has generated by carry roller pair 14 provided directly before the paper discharge tray 9 of the laser printer, the succeeding paper is guided to the drawing-in passage 11 by a flap 8. Because the succeeding paper is fed on the opening part 20 side by carry roller pairs 15, 16, the destination of the succeeding paper can be insured. Further, a time required for a paper jam processing work can be shortened.
