METATHESIS IN PRESENCE OF IONIC LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a cyclic and/or polymerized compound by the metathesis of a starting substance containing at least two functional groups in the form of an alkene or alkyne unit which is substituted or not substituted. SOLUTION: This method for a cyclic or polymerized compound comprises subjecting a starting substance containing at least two functional groups in the form of substituted or non-substituted alkene or alkyne units to a metathesis reaction in the presence of one or more homogeneous or heterogeneous catalysts. Therein, the metathesis reaction is carried out in the presence of an ionized liquid, and the catalyst is a transition metal carbene or a compound generating the transition metal carbene under reaction conditions, or a transition metal salt combined with an alkylating agent.
