PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction straightening plate of a pump capable of making flowing-in amount into an impeller uniform in the circumferential direction of the impeller, preventing the occurrence of peeling at an inlet of the suction straightening plate, and flowing the straightened flow into the impeller to improve pump efficiency. SOLUTION: A pair of suction straightening plates BV1, BV8 which exist on a straight line Y-Y passing through a center O along a flow F from a suction water channel 4 toward an annular suction passage 8 are constituted by a flat plate 10 rising vertically from an inlet toward an outlet of the annular suction passage 8, and suction straightening plates BV2 to BV7 provided with a degree of opening (interval) of 45 degrees on both sides in the circumferential direction of the annular suction passage 8 for a pair of suction straightening plates BV1, BV8 are constituted by a gutterlike circular arc plate 11 which is provided with a curved face 9 which guides water from the inlet of the annular suction passage 8 into the inside and has a unified curvature and rises vertically by a uniform curved face from the inlet toward the outlet of the annular suction passage 8.
