PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing device capable of adjusting a corner cutting knife at a low structuring cost and achieving a stable corner cutting quality. SOLUTION: This sewing device for making a pocket opening 101 with piping on a clothes material 31 has two cutter units, each of which has a corner cutter knife with two knives. One of the knives of each corner cutter knife is swivelable in the direction of a slit 103, which substantially constitutes a pocket opening, for making a straight corner cut 99 or a diagonal corner cut 100.
