PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the crosstalk for obtaining a sharp image by dividing a plurality of channels into a plurality of units, driving one channel of each unit in one cycle, and using driving pulses out of phase for the channels of adjacent units driven in one cycle in the case all of the channels are driven. SOLUTION: In the case of 3 channels, a driving pulse Pa1 to be applied to an A1 in a first cycle T1 and a driving pulse Pa2 to be applied to an A2 are out of phase by a time(t), and the driving pulse Pa2 ot be applied to Pa2 and a driving pulse Pa3 for an A3 are out of phase by a time(t). Accordingly, since the timings of generating the side wall deformation and the pressure change of the A1 channel and the A2 channel are out of phase by the time(t), the crosstalk is not generated. Moreover, since the distance between the A1 channel and the A3 channel is 6 channels, transmission of the pressure change is vanished so that the crosstalk is not generated. The same is applied to B1-B3 in a second cycle, and C1-C3 in a third cycle.
