PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost articulated arm to facilitate maintenance of the position and the attitude of an object to be supported by freely changing the attitude thereof. SOLUTION: This articulated arm comprises a plurality of rod members 40A-40D provided at two ends with holes 41A-41D and 42A-42D, and provided facing each other on both sides with partial spherical seats 31A-31E and 32A-32E. Further, the articulated arm comprises a plurality of coupling members 30A-30E having half-division coupling pieces 33 and 34, making a pair, in which the balls 41A-41D and 42A-42D of rod members 40A-40D coupled to partial spherical surface seats 31A-31E and 32A-32E are inclinably fitted, and a fastening means 50 to regulate the fastening pressure of the balls 21, 41A-41D and 42A-42D, and 61 mounted on the partial spherical surface seats 31A-31E and 32A-32E by fastening together coupling pieces 33 and 34, making a pair. A plurality of the rod members 40A-41D and a plurality of coupling members 30A-30E are linked together in series.
