PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the quality such as moisture content, content of fibers and content of nitrogen contained in tea raw leaves or shape or color in appearance, classify the tea raw leaves for every evaluation and store the tea raw leaves. SOLUTION: Properties of tea raw leaves are measured with a near infrared analyzer 9 and an image recognition camera 10 on a conveying means during a period after receiving the tea raw leaves to the charging thereof into a tea raw leaf tending means and the quality is evaluated based on the measured values with a computer to suitably charge in the tea raw leaves according to a charging in position due to the preset evaluation. Thereby, the tea raw leaves are classified for every quality, stored and tended.
